The much awaited sensitization and awareness creation program tagged “FROM THE CHURCH” to be organised by Disability Not A Barrier Initiative (DINABI) kicks off this Sunday, 27th October after one week delay due to expected confirmation from the churches involved.
In a statement released by the DINABI’s Program Assistant, Hellen Ibitoye, she said the team of DINABI will be visiting St. Jude Anglican Church, Textile Area, Ado-Ekiti. She also appreciated the leadership of the church (St Jude) for their effort and support in the aspect of inclusion. She also praised the passion of the vicar of the church, Revd Alabi towards persons with disabilities while also hoping the program will make a lasting and positive impacts in the lives of the general populace.
DINABI is a non-governmental organisation with the aim of promoting inclusion, equity and justice for persons with disabilities through sensitization, training, empowerment, research and advocacy services.
The Executive Director of DINABI, Engr. Olajide Funso urged the general public to join the team for the program while also asking for philanthropist in the society to support the program financially.
